Arturo Pérez-Reverte (Cartagena, España, en 1951) fue reportero de guerra durante veintiún años y cubrió dieciocho conflictos armados para los diarios y la televisión, también es escritor, conocido por sus apasionantes novelas de aventuras, historia y suspense. Antes de dedicarse por completo a la literatura, trabajó durante más de dos décadas como corresponsal de guerra, experiencia que marcó profundamente su estilo narrativo.
