Cassandra Clare, nacida en 1973 en Teherán, Irán, y criada en Estados Unidos, es una autora mundialmente conocida por sus sagas de fantasía urbana dirigidas a jóvenes adultos. Su obra más célebre es la saga Cazadores de Sombras, que comenzó con el libro Ciudad de hueso en 2007 y se convirtió en un fenómeno global.
