In recording these stories, they have preserved the heartbeat of the White Mountain Apache people: a legacy of bravery, resilience, and devotion to community. This volume of the Heroes of Cibecue series stands as both a celebration and a promise - to honor those who have served and to keep their stories alive for the generations to come. May it serve as a lasting tribute to Mr. Ernest Murphy, whose memory continues to inspire, and to Mr. Homer Beatty, whose living legacy reminds us that true heroism is timeless.
