This is a book covering a somewhat final list of memorable moments from my early days growing up in Pueblo, Colorado. The recollections in this book continue to percolate to the forefront of my musings. Of course, I did not include all the items on the slate of my thoughtful contestants. But, I now have several more topics from the past written on a piece of paper, and that is a start. As a writer I might have to surrender to the little child, who, when I feel like writing, reminds me of the wonderful times that should never be forgotten. I had a wonderful realization while working through these selected stories. While revisiting the special times I understood that they were learning moments. Somehow the topics of a button, bricks, pinon nuts, beans, laundry, garlic, and wild plums were all lessons of love. For me, it was truly an epiphany. Without saying it, my parents tacitly showed and demonstrated love. I an sure I felt love then, because I feel it now.
