During the tumultuous year of 1969, Jack Burke is an undergraduate at Rutgers University. He's multi-talented, vain, and likeable. On the surface, he might seem like many other bright college kids of his confused generation, but his intellectual conservatism makes him an outsider, completely out-of-sync with the times. Throughout the turbulent year of 1969, Jack will be forced to deal not only with current realities (campus unrest, Viet Nam, the Moon Landing, Woodstock, Manson, Altamont, etc.), but with many personal and spiritual difficulties that will force him to reevaluate his life.
