Elizabeth Gilbert, nacida el 18 de julio de 1969 en Waterbury, Connecticut, es una escritora y periodista estadounidense reconocida por sus memorias y novelas. Estudió Ciencias Políticas en la Universidad de Nueva York y trabajó en diversos oficios antes de dedicarse a la escritura.

Entre sus obras más destacadas se encuentra "Come, reza, ama" (2006), una memoria que narra su viaje personal en busca de equilibrio espiritual.
