Lucinda Riley (Lisburn, Irlanda del Norte, 16 de febrero de 1965 – 11 de junio de 2021) fue una autora y actriz británica que conquistó a millones de lectores con sus novelas de ficción histórica y sagas familiares. Inició su carrera artística como actriz de teatro y televisión, pero una enfermedad la llevó a descubrir su pasión por la escritura a los 24 años, publicando su primera novela en 1992. Su obra más famosa es la saga Las Siete Hermanas, inspirada en la mitología griega y traducida a más de 37 idiomas. Entre sus libros más reconocidos destacan Las Siete Hermanas, El secreto de la orquídea y La carta olvidada. Riley fue nominada a premios como el Bancarella (Italia) y el Lovely Books (Alemania), y su legado sigue vivo gracias a la adaptación televisiva de su saga y la publicación póstuma de su última novela.

I am absolutely loving this series, and the Pearl Sister is one of my favourites. Mostly set in the pearl fishing hub of Broome in Western Australia and ending in Alice Springs, it’s a story of transformation.
