Negi Haruba nació el 27 de julio de 1991 en la prefectura de Aichi, Japón. Este mangaka japonés debutó en el año 2014, a la temprana edad de veintitrés años, en la revista Shônen Magazine con su obra Karma of Purgatory. No obstante, su verdadero salto a la fama lo dio en el año 2017 con la popular serie titulada Go-Tôbun no Hanayome, conocida en España como Las quintillizas, una comedia romántica serializada en la revista Shûkan Shônen Magazine desde agosto de 2017 hasta febrero de 2020. Gracias al éxito que cosechó y al anime adaptado por el estudio Tezuka Productions (disponible en la plataforma de Crunchyroll), obtuvo el primer premio, junto a To your eternity, de Yoshitoki Ôima, en la categoría shônen de los Kodansha Manga Awards de 2019. Actualmente publica Ranger Reject en la revista Shônen Magazine, de Kodansha, y ha sido nominado en los galardones Tsugi ni Kuru Manga Taishô de 2021 en la categoría de mejor manga impreso.
