Nicholas Sparks (Omaha, 1965) es un escritor estadounidense reconocido mundialmente por sus novelas románticas que exploran temas como el amor, el destino, la fe y la tragedia. Tras estudiar Finanzas con honores en la Universidad de Notre Dame, Sparks inició su carrera literaria con The Notebook (1996), una obra que rápidamente se convirtió en un bestseller del New York Times y marcó el comienzo de un éxito editorial sin precedentes.

A lo largo de su trayectoria, ha publicado más de veinte novelas que han sido traducidas a más de treinta idiomas y publicadas en más de veinte países.
