James Herriot fue el seudónimo de James Alfred Wight (1916-1995), un veterinario y autor británico, famoso por sus entrañables relatos sobre la vida rural y su trabajo como veterinario en la campiña inglesa. Nació en Sunderland, Inglaterra, y estudió veterinaria en la Universidad de Glasgow.
