The word love is used for so many different things today that for most people it is just a nebulous concept with no clear meaning. This makes it very hard to identify or practice love in the marriage relationship. In addition, our culture has moved away from traditional understandings of marriage, to such a degree that some are claiming it is an obsolete concept and others are trying to redefine it. The sexual revolution has encouraged non-traditional sexual standards, encouraging irresponsible sexual behavior. Thousands of children are raised in a single parent home and never see an example of a mature loving relationship. This book briefly examines some of the 1200 verses relating to marriage in an attempt to give a solid foundation on which to build a marriage. It then focuses on practical things that reveal serious problems, as well as specific proven actions that help to strengthen a marriage.
