Anna Dewdney fue maestra, madre y defensora entusiasta de la lectura en voz alta a los niños. Perfeccionó continuamente sus habilidades como artista y escritora y publicó su primer libro Llama Llama en 2005. Su pasión por la creación se extendió al hogar y al jardín y restauró con amor una granja del siglo XVIII en el sur de Vermont. Escribió, pintó, trabajó en el jardín y vivió allí con su pareja, Reed y sus dos hijas.
Anna falleció en 2016, pero su espíritu seguirá vivo en sus libros.
