Enter Water (en Inglés) - Miharu Yano

Miharu Yano’s debut collection Enter Water is a hybrid engagement with the 11th century Japanese proto-novel The Tale of Genji and its heroine, Ukifune.

Enter Water begins and ends in translation.

Enter Water faces suicide. Faces, meaning, faces towards, faces up to, exists in the face of, possibly becomes the face of, suicide.

Enter Water creates new soundscapes, creates friction between poetic forms, pitting tanka against sestinas, creates and unveils and re-veils the mask of suicide.
