These issues are addressed in an international and comparative perspective via analyses of: the policies of government and supra-national entities as they focus on managing the relationship between education and equity; the power of education to interrupt or perpetuate cycles of advantage and disadvantage; and the narratives of children, youth and adults as they negotiate established and emerging meanings of equity in education.
