"Facing This Side of the Moon and the Other Major Changes in Our Lives" is the second in a series of parenting books by C.J. Greene. In, her first novel, "Facing the Reality", she introduced us to the characters in this new novel, with the exception of Earlene; her newest character, the representative of unbridled, uncontrollable youth. "Facing This Side of the Moon" is about coping with the changing face of parenting in the modern world. She delves into the lives of young parents, who are being confronted with the modern dilemmas of full time work, drug use and abuse, domestic violence, legal issues, money issues and raising their young children in a rapidly changing world. She shows us that parenting is, by far, is a difficult and thankless job. Miss C.J. appears in the new novel to continue her battle with the AIDS/HIV virus. Unfortunately, the reality of her impending death looms readily in the face of her children. We find them learning how to deal with true love, relationships, death, abductions, legal governmental procedures, and other exciting situations in their lives. C.J. Greene hopes that this new novel will again, reveal the difficulties of "babies having babies", and young people being unprepared to bring children into the confusion in which they live. She hopes the message will be heard loud and clear: "Be prepared to take care of yourself and your family. They are truly all you have. "
