The play will receive its world premiere in London's West End on 30th July 2016.It was always difficult being Harry Potter and it isn't much easier now that he is an overworked employee of the Ministry of Magic, a husband, and father of three school-age children.While Harry grapples with a past that refuses to stay where it belongs, his youngest son Albus must struggle with the weight of a family legacy he never wanted. Joanne Rowling (Yate, 1965), conocida mundialmente como J.K. Rowling, es una escritora y guionista británica que ha dejado una marca profunda en la literatura contemporánea gracias a la creación de la saga de Harry Potter. Su obra no solo revolucionó la literatura infantil y juvenil, sino que también se convirtió en un fenómeno cultural global. Antes de alcanzar el éxito, Rowling estudió Filología y trabajó en diversos empleos, incluyendo Amnistía Internacional. Fue durante un viaje en tren cuando surgió la idea de Harry Potter, que, tras superar dificultades personales como la pérdida de su madre y la crianza en solitario de su hija, logró publicar en 1997 tras varios rechazos editoriales. La saga de Harry Potter, con más de 600 millones de ejemplares vendidos y traducida a múltiples idiomas, es su obra más influyente. También escribe novela negra bajo el seudónimo Robert Galbraith, mostrando su versatilidad como autora.

En 2020, J.K. Rowling volvió a escribir para niños con el cuento de hadas El ickabog, que primero publicó de forma gratuita en línea durante el confinamiento; más tarde donó todos los derechos de autor del libro para ayudar a los grupos vulnerables más afectados por la pandemia de Covid-19. J.K. Rowling confiesa que siempre quiso ser escritora. Vive en Escocia con su familia.
