It sounds like the beginning of a joke-until Bailey Groves wakes up far from Earth in Haven, a fantasy world where everything is either magical, murderous, or both. Usually both.

His ticket back to Earth? Collect a set of 12 Dragon Orbs. Simple, right? Wrong.

The dragon soul trapped inside the first Orb wants him dead. The other Orb holders want him dead. Almost everyone he meets wants him dead. The local wildlife wants him dead. Even the flora seems to have a personal vendetta against his continued existence.

In other words, it's Australia.

With magic.

Armed with firearms that make wizards nervous, new magical abilities that are just as dangerous to him as they are to his enemies, and enough sarcasm to curdle milk at fifty paces, Bailey must navigate this hazardous world. His mission: survive long enough to get home without becoming the very monster he's fighting.
