Victor Sebestyen (Budapest, 1956) es un destacado periodista, historiador y autor. Nacido en Hungría, su familia huyó al Reino Unido cuando él era niño. A lo largo de su carrera, ha cubierto importantes acontecimientos internacionales como corresponsal para destacados medios británicos.Es mundialmente reconocido por sus exhaustivas investigaciones sobre la historia de Europa del Este y la Unión Soviética. Entre sus obras más aclamadas destacan Twelve Days (2006), sobre la revolución húngara; Revolution 1989 (2009), que relata la caída del comunismo; y La Revolución rusa. Su aclamada biografía Lenin. Una biografía (2017) destaca por revelar el lado humano y las complejidades personales del líder soviético más allá de su figura política.
