Aidan Chambers (nacido el 27 de diciembre de 1934 en Durham, Inglaterra) es un autor británico reconocido por su contribución a la literatura infantil y juvenil. Antes de dedicarse a la escritura, trabajó como marino, profesor y monje anglicano. Junto a su esposa Nancy, fundó Thimble Press y la revista Signal, enfocadas en promover la literatura para jóvenes.

Entre sus obras más destacadas se encuentran "El secreto de la foca" (1980), "Reto en el colegio" (1989) y "Postales desde tierra de nadie" (1999). Este último le valió la Medalla Carnegie en 1999 y el Premio Michael L. Printz en 2003. Además, en 2002 recibió el Premio Hans Christian Andersen por su contribución a la literatura infantil y juvenil.
