Elspeth Beard (nacida en 1959) es una arquitecta británica y pionera del motociclismo. Es conocida por ser una de las primeras mujeres británicas en dar la vuelta al mundo en motocicleta. En 1982, con solo 23 años, emprendió un viaje de más de 56,000 kilómetros durante dos años y medio, recorriendo países como Australia, India, Nepal, Tailandia y EE. UU. en su BMW R60/6. Durante su travesía enfrentó accidentes, robos y enfermedades, pero logró completar su viaje en 1984. A pesar de su hazaña, fue ignorada por los medios en su momento. Más tarde escribió un libro titulado Lone Rider donde relata su experiencia. Además de motera, Beard es una arquitecta galardonada y restauradora de edificios históricos en Inglaterra.
