This book (Volume II) on Nigeria's Turbulent Journey to Nationhood is a continuation of Volume I on various turbulent issues and events/circumstances, including military coups of Generals Muhammadu Buhari and Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida from December 1983 and August 1985, the GG Orkar bloody, but fioiled coup attempt of April 1990, the June 12 Presidential Election of Chief MKO Abiola, its cancellation and crisis, General Sani Abacha's take over from the ING in November 1993, issues of allegations of genocide/Islamisation/Christianisation agenda and imposition of Sharia in Nigeria, traditional crisis and succession in Nigeria with special focus on Kano Emirate, politics and crisis of Nigeria's Federal Capitals location and relocation, Nigeria-Cameroon conflict over Bakassi, The Sokoto Caliphate of Sheikh Usman bn Fodio, and the much controversial Northernisation Policy of the Premier of Northern Nigeria (1954-1966), Alhaji Sir Ahmadu Bello (Sardaunan Sokoto). Both References and additional reading materials are provided at the end of the book for both referencing purposes and further readings.
