While a symphony of sounds and smells wafted from her mamá's kitchen, Catalina Valentina Corazón De La Luna discovers her papi's old violin. Catalina ventures around her Peruvian neighborhood in search of a giant to teach her how to play and learns she learns that not only practice, but a little bravery, a lot of heart, and the magic of the moon are necessary ingredients to make beautiful music.
