Reseña del libro "STORIES FROM THE GRID: A Future With No Address (en Inglés)"
Welcome to the Dead Grid. Welcome to a society perfectly optimized into pure futility. From the sharp, satirical mind of contemporary artist and author Laura Bernardeschi Nelson comes Stories from the Grid: A Future with No Address—a ferocious, darkly comedic anthology of dystopian novellas that dissects the modern web, technological obsession, and the decay of human dignity with a sharp dose of British black humor. Step into a cyberpunk labyrinth where human identity has been happily bypassed by corporate algorithms, where vocal cords have atrophied from disuse, and where the lines between organic life and Defective Matrix Code have completely blurred.Across 21 interconnected chapters, you will wander through an unforgettable gallery of grotesque cybernetic misfits, failed hackers, and symbolic modern fables: Glitchia: The self-proclaimed "Great Hacker of Morons," strutting around with an oversized skull, rigid blue spikes for hair, and a blind cybernetic dog that can only bark "Bot, bot, bot" onto rusted tracks. Grug (User-418): A tech-addicted nocturnal scanner chewing on raw coffee grounds, who finds his profile permanently reassigned by the central mainframe to low-level, analog chicken-coop cleaning. The Headphone Protocol and The Neural Collar: A silent population that traded its physical voice for convenience, completely outmatched by domestic pets who use neural implants to run offshore trust funds and lecture humans on theoretical physics. From underground international latrine audits to the absolute optical warfare of a backyard covered in crystalline prisms, spinning CDs, and rotating disco-ball galaxies, Stories from the Grid is an absolute triumph of existential satire. Richly illustrated and textually cutting, this book turns the daily, microscopic harassments of the internet into a monumental work of literary fiction. The canvas is watertight. The perimeter firewall is locked. The masterpiece is complete. Are you ready to log in? Read more
