The present book highlights the manufacture of metal matrix composites with the use of aluminium as matrix material and quartz particulates as reinforcement by liquid melt metallurgy technique using vortex method. Then the composite materials are subjected various corrosion testing method the characterize the corrosion behaviour of the composites with respect static weight loss, stress corrosion, open circuit potential and potentiodynamic polarization method. Detailed results and discussion are there at the end of the book which will help in the application of the materials in the fields o aeronautical, aerospace and automobile industries.
