In 1886, Albert Pike, through the Supreme Council, SJUSA published this translation of a bulletin from the Supreme Council for France concerning Joseph Cerneau. It is a clear rebuff of Cerneau. The foreword, written by Michael R. Poll, tells another side of the story. Together, this is a fascinating account of Scottish Rite Masonry in its early, formative years.
