Through their intriguing stories, we will also explore the struggles for survival, equality, and recognition faced by forgotten female artists in a male-dominated time when women had little or no rights. We invite you to look at Paris with fresh eyes, to feel the souls of these amazing men and women in each neighbourhood whilst you come on this art voyage with us. Renate van Nijen, a Dutch artist and writer who lives in Spain, went on this journey and wants to share it with you. She also brought many of the women in this book to life through her paintings.
