Ten year-old Charlie is desperately missing his late, much-loved father and so too is his mum. Their sadness is driving a wedge between them and Charlie struggles with the tension at home. It's the school summer holidays, so Charlie spends much of his time out of the house, exploring the nearby Great Forest along with his good pal, Emily. When he stumbles across a secret part of the forest one day, and a very strange-looking creature (the likes of which he has never ever seen before), he is plunged into a whole new adventure. The Treehog quickly becomes a good friend to both Charlie and Emily, he takes them on a magical ride and teaches them about love, family and friendship. Unfortunately, the village bully, Ernald Brunce, finds out about the secret part of the forest and the Mighty Oak at its centre. This cruel man's plans, fuelled by greed and selfishness, threaten the future of the beautiful forest and the trio of friends have to quickly come up with a way to stop him. Will the children be able to save this ancient tree and their new-found friend? Will they be brave enough to stand up to this bully and his vicious dogs? Or will Brunce get away with it all and ruin everything? Discover all this and much more in this exciting adventure where magical powers along with bravery, family loyalty and friendship are tested to the limits.
