Reseña del libro "The Unexplained on Record (en Inglés)"
A photograph. A recording. A witness who cannot forget what happened. Some encounters survive long after the moment itself. They become newspaper reports, disputed footage, investigators' notes and stories repeated for decades. The Unexplained on Record: Volume 1 follows those traces through 32 case studies of alleged hauntings, cryptid sightings, apparitions on camera, possession and exorcism. From the Enfield poltergeist to the Patterson-Gimlin film, from the waters of Loch Ness to shadowy figures on security cameras, Mark Adams examines the accounts that keep the paranormal debate alive. Alongside familiar mysteries are less widely known cases, each approached with curiosity and attention to the surviving evidence.Eyewitness testimony and attributed quotations sit beside examinations of photographs, recordings, physical specimens and investigative findings. The possession and exorcism chapters distinguish what participants believed from what medical information, court proceedings and other available records establish. Some cases remain uncertain. Others lead to misidentified animals, camera effects or documented deception. Every case ends with a sceptical assessment, considering possible ordinary explanations and the limits of what can reasonably be concluded. For Mark, the subject is personal. His fascination with the paranormal has inspired his fantasy writing and taken him ghost hunting. In his introduction, he recalls seeing a cup fly into a warehouse wall and shatter with extraordinary force-an experience he still cannot explain, presented openly as his own recollection. That curiosity runs throughout this collection. Witnesses are given room to tell their stories, while their claims are examined against the records available. References and evidence notes give readers a route to the original reporting and supporting material. For readers drawn to ghost investigations, elusive creatures and unsettling footage, The Unexplained on Record offers a compelling journey through extraordinary claims and the evidence left behind.
