Heath McKenzie es un ilustrador y escritor australiano especializado en literatura infantil. Vive y trabaja en Melbourne, Australia, y desde 2003 desarrolla una exitosa carrera como ilustrador profesional para editoriales, revistas, campañas publicitarias y proyectos internacionales. Su estilo artístico se caracteriza por dibujos hechos completamente a mano, aunque trabajados digitalmente, manteniendo una apariencia cálida, expresiva y muy dinámica.

McKenzie alcanzó gran reconocimiento gracias a su trabajo en exitosas series infantiles como Do Not Open This Book, escrita por Andy Lee, y la serie Tiny Timmy, creada junto al futbolista Tim Cahill. Sus libros han sido traducidos a numerosos idiomas y vendidos en distintos países. También ha escrito e ilustrado obras propias como Zoo House, Butt Out! y The Wildest Book Week Ever!.

Además de ilustrar, Heath McKenzie ha trabajado como diseñador y artista gráfico. En entrevistas ha comentado que desde niño estuvo interesado en el dibujo, la animación y el humor visual, influencias que marcaron su carrera artística. Su obra combina imaginación, humor y personajes expresivos que conectan especialmente con el público infantil.
